21世纪是以信息产业为核心的知识经济时代。信息技术是现代社会发展迅速的高新技术，在社会各个领域都有着广泛的应用，并极大地提高了人们的生产效率，推进社会发展。而信息功能材料是信息技术发展的先导，信息功能材料与器件研发已经被列入国家中长期科学与技术发展规划。 《信息与材料》是面向材料科学与工程（创新拔尖班）开设的一门选修课，旨在帮助学生了解信息功能材料的结构特点和功能性应用，重点掌握信息电子类功能材料，包括半导体材料、超导材料、电介质材料、光电子与光伏材料、磁性功能材料等，扩展学生的专业英语词汇，训练学生国内外文献综述和材料专业英语写作能力。 Information Technology and Materials is an elective course for the discipline of Material Science and Engineering (Innovation Top-Notched Class). This course aims to help students understand the structural characteristics and applications of the information function materials, mainly information electronic materials, including semiconductor materials, superconducting materials, dielectric materials, optoelectronic and photovoltaic materials, magnetic materials. The course also is designed to help the students' master the professional English vocabulary, train the literature review and scientific English writing.
